When you support The Millay Colony for the Arts you are supporting all kinds of wonderful art-making. Your contributions underwrite month-long residencies for composers, writers and visual artists of all stripes and from every community. With your help, we bedeck our amazing resident artists with a lovely private bedroom and studio (overlooking fields, meadows, and inspiration of all floral varieties), all meals and...time. Time time time. This time is a tremendously vital part of the artistic process—the time to work that culminates in published or recorded or exhibited work.

Without time to fully dedicate themselves to their work, artists cannot entirely be artists.

We rely on the support of individuals around the country in order to provide a thriving haven for artists and the arts. Please join us at whatever level is comfortable for you.  In so doing, you will help us give this precious gift month after month...and here's how:

Supporting Our Programs with a Gift of Any Size to General Operations

Patron
$1,000 and ever-upwards
Our magnificent Patrons form the core of our financial support. They receive all the benefits listed below and are invited as VIP guests to all of our events. Patrons receive a 50% discount to all workshops at the Colony.

Artists' Circle
Up to $1000
Our Artists' Circle darlings are acknowledged on our Web site, in our newsletter and in our Open House program, receive our newsletter and are invited to all of our events. The Artists Circle folks receive a 10% discount to all workshops at the Colony.

Friend
Up to $100
Our lovely Friends are acknowledged on our Web site and newsletter, receive our newsletter and are invited to our annual Open House.

Alumni Artists Group
A membership group for former residents. Dues are $30.
This group helps alumni stay in touch with us and each other. These lucky folks get a discount on all Millay happenings.

 

Sponsoring A Residency: You Can Underwrite a Residency in its Entirity

** An Annual Fellowship Award of $5,000 provides for the entire package of one residency—one month of private room and studio space plus all meals at the delightful Millay Colony.

** A Scholarship Fellowship of $6,000 also provides travel costs and a stipend for an artist for whom the financial considerations of getting to/from our campus or covering monthly bills may prohibit their participation.

** An Endowed Fellowship is currently $100,000. The interest from this gift is used to underwrite an artist's residency each year. Currently the Colony has eighteen Endowed Fellowships. Do we hear twenty??
