Make a Bequest and Leave a Legacy of Art and Community
We are always deeply touched and incredibly grateful when an alumni or friend leaves a gift to The Millay Colony in their will. This is a generous and simple way to support the future of The Millay Colony, the many artists who spend time with us, the art they will make, and the communities they will form together. A bequest allows you to be a permanent part of our future.
By supporting us in this way, you can retain control of your assets and your estate may save money on estate taxes later on. Best of all, when you make a provision for The Millay Colony in your will, you preserve the incredible gifts of time and space we offer for future generations.
You may specify a dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or whatever is left over after designated distributions have been made.
The form attached here offers examples of bequest language that you can use in a will, codicil, or trust, and which you can share with your legal council.
If you have any questions about including The Millay Colony for the Arts in your will and the different ways you can support us through gift planning, please contact Caroline Crumpacker at (518) 392-4144 or firstname.lastname@example.org. All inquiries are confidential.
