TEACHING RESOURCES

Research shows that students exposed to the arts and engaged in art-making activities learn a variety of cognitive and behavioral habits not acquired in other components of a school education. In particular, using the arts across curriculum develops pathways of learning through exploration. We at the Millay Colony for the Arts believe that a multiform program of arts education is fundamentally important to our mission to nourish contemporary art and artists.

In addition to the Arts Education programs we offer in area schools, here are some resources for teachers seeking to expand their use of the arts in the classroom. Check back often as we are always adding new material!
