Bethesda, MD – Jeneva holds an MFA in poetry from the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers, and PhD in Renaissance literature from Columbia University. She has also been the recipient of a Mellon Fellowship in the Humanities. In recent years, she has been an active volunteer for Alice James Books, as a fundraiser, reading organizer, and public relations helper. Her nonfiction has appeared or is forthcoming in the Collagist, Poetry International, and Poet Lore. Her poems have appeared in many literary journals, including Colorado Review, Pleiades, Beloit Poetry Journal, Cimarron Review, Literary Mama, and others. In 2007, she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for poetry. Jeneva lives in Bethesda, Maryland where she is invited to read from her work regularly and has judged the occasional contest.
