Brooklyn, NY – Mark Labowskie received his MFA in fiction from Rutgers-Newark in 2013. His first published story recently appeared in Sou’wester and another one is forthcoming in Fence. He received first place in the 2014 Summer Literary Seminars fiction contest, judged by Aimee Bender, and will receive a full scholarship to SLS’s Nairobi conference. In the fall, he will begin a Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University. He is an extremely recent transplant to the Bay Area.
