Brooklyn, NY — Melissa Sandor was born in Buffalo, New York. She received her BA from SUNY at Buffalo and has completed graduate studies at Pratt Institute and Queens College, CUNY. In addition to being a fiction writer, she was worked for the past 16 years as a writer for artists and non-profit arts organizations including BOMB Magazine, Meredith Monk, New York City Ballet, New York Stage & Film, Queens Council on the Arts and many others. Her writing has appeared in BOMB, Buffalo Spree and ArtVoice magazines. She has been a teaching artist in private schools in NYC and NJ. Sandor is currently working on a novella.
