New York, NY—Nora is a novelist, short story writer, essayist, photographer, and food-and-drinks columnist and instructor. She was born in London, Ontario, Canada, and received a B.A. from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. After graduation, she worked in publishing in Toronto and New York as an editor and literary publicist. Her short stories, essays, and photo-essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Killing the Buddha, The Rambler, Apartment Therapy, CHOW, and other publications. She been awarded fiction fellowships from the Ucross Foundation, Blue Mountain Center, the Ragdale Foundation, and the Artists’ Enclave at I-Park. An excerpt from her novel-in-progress, BURNT HILL ROAD, won the Bronx Writers’ Center/Bronx Council on the Arts “Chapter One” Competition in 2007.
