New York, NY- Composer Laura Andel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After living and working in her native Buenos Aires, and for several years in Boston, Ms. Andel moved to New York City in 2000, where she currently resides. She has performed her music in New York, Boston, Berlin, Caracas, Buenos Aires, and other cities. One of Andel\’s passions is the sound generated by large ensembles comprised of unusual combinations of instruments. Washington, D.C.- Nicholas grew up in Washington, D.C. and received his B.A. in English from Yale, his Ph.D. in English from Columbia, and most recently, his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from American University. From 2005-2006, he was an Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Humanities at Wesleyan University. S. Whitney Holmes
Tuscaloosa, AL- S. Whitney was born and raised in north-central West Virginia. In the spring of 2009, she successfully defended her M.F.A. thesis in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Alabama, where she was a Teaching Writing Fellow and served as Poetry Editor for Black Warrior Review. Her poems appear or are forthcoming in Third Coast, The Laurel Review, Cave Wall, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere.

Brooklyn, NY- “I was born in Connecticut, grew up in Maine, went to a boarding school in Massachusettes (Northfield Mt. Hermon School), and a college in upstate New York (Hamilton College, class of 1992, B.A. in Religious Studies). I went to Bread and Puppet in Glover Vermont and it changed my life.
